Uplink Studios Launches with Sold-Out Proof-of-Concept
Youth esports league sells out in 8 days
March 2, 2020 (Glenmoore, PA) – Uplink Studios, Inc. launched their business today with the opening of their first esports training facility and arena. Located in Glenmoore, PA, this first-of-its-kind facility is entirely dedicated to youth esports.
“Our goal is to provide a safe community for gamers to learn the strategies and tactics to be better gamers,” said Alex Page, Uplink’s first esports coach. “There is no good option for kids today to learn how to play video games in a structured manner.”
Uplink Studios’ focus on youth gaming goes beyond just playing games. The mission is to not only make better gamers, but better human beings. Uplink is “changing the game” and spends a significant amount of time focused on their Player-Code-of-Conduct.
“We were drawn to Uplink because we were looking for a way to support our son’s gaming, but also to help them learn how to work as team and develop good sportsmanship. We want to minimize the unwanted behaviors that often go hand-in-hand with online gaming,” said Rita Pederson, whose son is enrolled in Uplink’s inaugural season.
Video games are a social experience and they are best played together, in a controlled environment where the players are shoulder-to-shoulder, working as a team to defeat their opponents. Uplink Studios is creating a new community and friendships that will last forever.
Uplink Studios plans to expand rapidly throughout the United States, creating a network of interconnected studios that compete against each other and culminates in a massive season-ending tournament.
